...Still Cool on Wednesday Then a little Warmer Each Day into the Weekend...
Morning low clouds and patchy fog cleared to sunny skies this afternoon around the Central Coast. It was cooler today except at the coast. Highs today ranged from the mid 60s to mid 70s coast to the upper 70s to mid 80s inland. The marine Layer is well mixed out this evening, but will return overnight with low clouds and fog again in the morning. Overnight lows in the mid 40s to lower 50s.
The upper trough off the California coast will slowly move east. It will move onshore on Wednesday. This has brought a little drier air into the Central Coast and has mixed out much of the stratus layer along the coast, but still some low clouds will continue night and morning hours. As the trough moves inland on Wednesday night & Thursday, a weak upper ridge will build just offshore on Thursday into the Weekend. This will compress the Marine Layer some and temperatures inland will warm 6 to 8 degrees by Sunday. Still dry weather will continue through the weekend.
Another trough develops off the West Coast on Monday and Tuesday. Little change is expected in inland temperatures, but it will be a little cooler with more low clouds at the coast.
The outlook for 24th of June thorough the 2nd of July calls for Near to Above Normal temperatures and Below Normal precipitation which is little or none for this time of year.
Summer Arrives on June 20th at 10:05 PM.
