PASO ROBLES - Some artists in Paso Robles are picking up paint brushes to raise awareness of a revitalization project.
They're gearing up for the first ever Paso Robles Festival of the Arts.
The artists are hoping to capture the beauty of the Salinas River Corridor, which is being revamped.
Their work will be on display at an exhibit called Follow the River, Paint the Dream.
Local artists like Nancy Becker hope visitors will gain a new found appreciation for their community.
"I hope they'll begin to develop an appreciation for the beauty of the surroundings and an appreciation for art and appreciation for people trying to capture and put their feelings into paintings, the environment," says Becker.
The Paso Robles Festival of the Arts is scheduled for May 23rd over Memorial Day Weekend.
