SAN LUIS OBISPO- San Luis Obispo County activated its Emergency Operations Center at 2:30 Friday morning.
Emergency planners met and decided to evacuate the low lying areas in the county.
They decided to activate the county tsunami plan.
They still anticipate a series of potential tsunami waves reaching the Central Coast over the next few hours.
At this point they have determined that Morro Bay and Port San Luis have been effected the most, even though there is no real damage.
Thousands of people were called by the reverse 9-1-1 to people in evacuation areas.
As of 11:30am the tsunami warning is going to remain in place throughout the afternoon.
