CAL POLY - The Cal Poly Community is celebrating its tallest building.
Leaders held a re-dedication ceremony this afternoon to mark the 30th anniversary of the Robert E. Kennedy Library.
The Cal Poly campus changed dramatically in 1981, with the addition of the five story building, which replaced the older and smaller Dexter Library.
Michael Miller the Dean of Library Services says, "The library is a much different place today, than it was back then, but our students tell us we're even more essential."
More than one million people visit the Robert E. Kennedy Library every year.
