HUASNA VALLEY - A controversial oil drilling project proposed for the Huasna Valley is off the table.
According to the Huasna Valley Association, Excelaron withdrew its application Wednesday.
There are no immediate details as to why.
Excelaron's plan was to drill in the Valley then truck the oil from Huasna Townsite Road to Highway 166.
Many residents were against it, citing traffic and environmental concerns.
