NEW CUYAMA - More than a hundred and fifty cars filled the parking lot at Cuyama Valley High School Saturday afternoon.
Some newer cars but mostly...classics.
All here...to raise a little money.
For the past eighteen years the eighth graders at Cuyama Elementary School have put on the car show.
Now people are coming from all over the state to show off their rides.
More people brought out their cars this year then ever before...even in the bad economy.
Art Foster drove his car all the way from Santa Maria and says it's worth it. "What happens in the government and what happens everywhere else is going to happen but we have control of the local stuff and that's what we're changing."
The event raised about seventy-five hundred dollars.
