PASO ROBLES - A non-profit organization wants to create a new dog park in Paso Robles.

Parks 4 Pups wants to secure a piece of land for a dog park.

The group is responsible for the off-leash dog parks in Templeton and Atascadero.

They say Paso Robles would be the perfect spot for a third park.

Parks 4 Pups President, Paula O'Farrell says, "At least a third of our donors are from Paso Robles, half of our large donors are from Paso Robles, people come to Paso Robles as a tourist destination, many, many people travel with their dogs and they want a place to come and have fun."

On average it costs about $35,000 dollars to build a dog park.

According to Parks 4 Pups the Paso Robles Park would be funded through donations.
