HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A registered sex offender has been charged with four felony counts in an undercover Internet sex sting in Orange County.
The district attorney's office says David Walker Bryan was charged Monday in Orange County Superior Court.
Prosecutors say Bryan was arrested Thursday after he contacted whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl through a Craigslist personal ad. The teen turned out to be an undercover detective from the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Prosecutors say Bryan sent sexually explicit text messages and asked the girl to wear red underwear for their meeting at the location where he was arrested.
Bryan is being held on $250,000 bail.
Prosecutors say he was registered as a sex offender following a 1989 sexual assault in Arizona.
