SANTA MARIA - McDonald's is in the process of a super sized hiring blitz.

The fast food chain is making a well-publicized push to hire 50-thousand workers.

McDonald's is also eager to change the perception of the term 'Mc-Jobs'.

It might be a tall order for a word that even the Oxford English Dictionary defines as 'an unstimulating low paid job with few prospects'.
