Veterans Presented Employment Opportunities in San Luis Obispo

Posted: Updated:

SAN LUIS OBISPO - The Veterans Memorial Building in San Luis Obispo was filled with job seekers, Thursday for the Veterans Job and Resource Fair.

This is the seventh year the job fair has been held.

Veterans were invited to bring in their resumes and meet with some of the County's top employers.

Organizers say the fair is a great way to connect anyone looking for work with Central Coast companies who are looking to hire.

Milton Batson, the Job Fair Organizer, told Your Central Coast News, "Its needed more and more especially with the way the economy is and everything, so we opened it to everybody..one of our big employers last year was PG&E hiring, and they hired about 20 people here"

In addition to the job fair, there was also a homeless stand down where experts sat down with people who were looking to break their homeless cycle.
