"Punchd" Packs a Punch

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Google has purchased a start-up company started by Cal Poly students.

According to the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, the deal is worth more than $10 million.

"Punchd" started as a Cal Poly senior project.

It takes customers loyalty cards, like buy 10 get one free at coffee shops, and puts them on mobile platforms.
