Hope Sound, FL - Its alligator hunting season in Florida.
And a 19-year-old Florida man's catch of the day is netting him some serious respect.
Tim Stroh's trophy is a 800-pound, 12-foot alligator which he managed to pull alongside his boat with just a simple fishing rod.
With a 44 caliber shell on a stick, they popped the gator on the back, tied it up, and hauled it into the boat.
Florida's Fish and Wildlife say there have been even larger alligators caught.
Lucky for Tim, his father is a taxidermist and plans on mounting the gator's large head for him.
