ARROYO GRANDE - A power of prevention, community health symposium will be held Saturday in Arroyo Grande.
The free event is being held so the public can interact with health care professionals and learn ways to stay healthy and prevent disease.
Cancer screenings, diabetes as well as proper diet and nutrition are among the topics that will be discussed.
Organizers will also have a portion on aging and the changes associated with getting older.
Doctor Scott Robertson who is participating in the symposium says, "Anybody in the public is welcome to come. It's an open door policy, and so if you only have an hour or so to stand by, to stop by, by all means come in for a little while but certainly anyone who is interested in their health and getting older is more than welcome to show up."
The event is Saturday at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande, from 9am to noon.
