Zoo Boo Planned For This Weekend

ATASCADERO - The Halloween celebration at the Atascadero Zoo is about to get under way.

Zoo Boo is this Saturday.

The Charles Paddock Zoo, which will be showing off all of its Halloween decor, will have games, a haunted house, and trick or treat bags.

There's also going to be a vegetable decorating contest for four different age groups.

"It's kind of nice," says Alan Baker, zoo director. "The zoo's decorated up and you get to be here when it gets dark, so it makes it a little bit scarier, but again, not real scary for the little kids. We encourage them to come in costume and it's just a really good fun family time."

Zoo Boo at the Charles Paddock Zoo is this Saturday, from 5:00 to 8:30 PM.
