GROVER BEACH - Grover Beach voters may have the future term limits of the directly-elected Mayor in their hands.
The Grover Beach City Council is set to discuss posing a question on the June 2012 ballot for voters to answer if the Mayor's term should be two years.
Back in 2006, voters approved the city's mayor to be directly-elected and to serve a two-year term over a four year term.
Included in that, the person elected may serve as a council member or mayor for two consecutive terms per position.
Voters will be asked if the two consecutive two-year term for Mayor should be eliminated, as well as should it be increased to four consecutive two year terms.
The Grover Beach City Council meeting is Tuesday night.
