Overview of Position:
Central Coast News is looking for a dynamic go-getter for the role of multi-media journalist and fill in producer.  This person will be a full time employee who will typically work 3 week days and Saturday/Sunday on Central Coast News. The person will also be called on to fill in produce on various dayparts as needed.   This person must have sound news judgment.  Be able to cultivate new stories. Be a strong writer and be able to excel under extreme deadline pressure.

As with all staff, this person will learn how to operate a live truck, run a camera and edit his/her own material.   This person must be able to handle the intensity of breaking news and understand he/she may be called upon to handle a variety of shifts and/or tasks including web and twitter.

Essential Job Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

• Live multiple times during shows
• Set up fresh content for following broadcast
• Post to the web and tweet throughout shift
• Set up live shots
• Shoot and edit material
• Cultivate contacts
• Cover at least two stories during a shift
