The City of Paso Robles Won't Comment On Allegations Against Chief

Posted: Updated:

Paso Robles  -- The City of Paso Robles is not commenting on allegations against the Police Chief recently reported  by the online news source Cal Coast News.

The internet based news outlet reported yesterday that several Paso Robles Police Officers are accusing Chief Lisa Solomon of inappropriate conduct.

Solomon became chief in 2007 and she's been with the department for about 25 years.

The article claims Chief Solomon touched officers inappropriately and threatened trumped-up criminal charges against her employees.

The City Manager Jim App released a statement today explaining the legal reasons the city can not comment on such police personnel matters nor address the allegations made in the article.

The City of Paso Robles stated, "The City Understands that it is frustrating to the public that city officials cannot comment on the allegations made in such articles.  These restrictions are frustrating to the City as well, in particular because the articles then can only present a limited perspective that is incomplete and may not be accurate."
