PASO ROBLES - Half a dozen people spoke out at Tuesday night's Paso Robles City Council meeting over misconduct allegations against Police Chief Lisa Solomon.

The allegations of sexual harassment and other misconduct first surfaced in an online news article a couple of weeks ago.

Everyone who spoke at the meeting voiced their support for the chief.

"She is a friend. She is a neighbor. She's a good mother, good wife, and a good and generous, kind-hearted spirit," said one man.

"I very much admire her backbone, her dedication to the community, and I hope that you will view this situation with the competence that you had when she was first brought in to this position," said another woman.

So far, one current officer has filed a claim against the City of Paso Robles, saying he was retaliated against for speaking out over traffic ticket quotas.

The lawyer for a former officers says he plans to file a sexual harassment lawsuit against Chief Solomon.
