ATASCADERO - Some local police officers are giving back to the community.
The Atascadero Police Association held its second annual charity golf tournament this past fall.
All of the proceeds benefited Atascadero youth sports.
That includes the Atascadero Youth Cheerleaders that volunteered their time at the event.
The Police Association donated $1,000 to the team.
Another $5,000 raised at the golf tournament was donated to the Community Services Foundation, which provides scholarships to low-income families for youth sports and classes.
An additional $3,500 went to the Atascadero Youth Football League to buy safety equipment.
