KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - NewsUCSB Applications Up

SANTA BARBARA - More students applied to U.C. Santa Barbara this year, compared to last year.

UCSB received more than 68,000 applications for undergraduate admission for this coming Fall.

That's 5,000 more than last year and an increase of nearly 8%.

The entire U.C. system received a record 160,000 applications.

UCSB is expecting to enroll around 4,300 first-year students for the Fall semester.
