Driver Rescued After Car Goes Over Side OF Highway 154

SANTA BARBARA CO. - The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that sent a car over the side of Highway 154 on Thursday.

It happened just before noon, just east of Painted Cave Road.

The car went off the road and fell 100 feet over the side.

Crews used a rope system to rescue the driver.

She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Traffic in the area was slowed down during the hour-long rescue.
