Umpire for Girls Softball League Faces Child Pornography Charges

Posted: Updated:

ATASCADERO -- An umpire for a girls softball league is facing child pornography charges.

The FBI indicted 47-year-old Andrew Pratt of Atascadero on child pornography charges after they arrested him at his home on Tuesday.

Multiple sources confirm Pratt was an umpire for Atascadero Girls Softball, but so far, no one from the organization will comment on the allegations surrounding him.

On Tuesday, FBI agents arrested Pratt at his home in Atascadero.

He has been indicted on five counts of receiving and possessing child pornography.

According to the indictment, detectives found videos on Pratt's computer involving girls as young as six years old.

After receiving some information, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's department first launched the investigation into Pratt back in October of 2010.

Earlier that year, Pratt was nominated for the position of "Umpire in Chief" of Atascadero Girls Softball, that's according to meeting minutes on the organization's web site.

Following his arrest on Tuesday, Pratt was taken to Los Angeles where he faced a federal court judge.

He pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

Pratt is out of custody on a $70,000 bond.

According to the FBI, the court imposed additional restrictions on him.
