Solvang Woman Sentenced For Embezzlement

SOLVANG - A woman from Solvang has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for embezzling more than $1 million from her employer.

Lisa Sackie, 48, worked for Santa Barbara Bay Foods.

She was also ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution.

Sackie pleaded guilty in August of last year to mail fraud, admitting that she wrote company checks to herself.

Sackie has to report to prison by May 14th.
