SANTA MARIA - A Santa Maria teenager will stand trial on a charge of murder involving the stabbing death of another man last May.
A judge found there is sufficient evidence to put 19 year old Moses Gutierrez on trial.
Police say Gutierrez used a knife to kill 42 year old Alex Anzures outside a home in Santa Maria on May 15th of last year.
Prosecutors say Gutierrez faces a special allegation of using a knife to commit the homicide.
Gutierrez is also being held in county jail on other drug related charges.
The murder case will return to court for a pre-trial arraignment next month.
