KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - NewsLA Times: Grover Beach Plane Full of Marijuana Flies Into Presidential No-Fly Zone

GROVER BEACH, Calif- A private plane carrying a huge load of marijuana flew into President Obama's no-fly zone over Los Angeles, reports the LA Times. The plane is registered out of Grover Beach to David Major. However, authorities have not released the name of the pilot.

According to the LA Times, air traffic controllers tried to contact the pilot of the Cessna but he did not respond. "The plane was quickly intercepted by two F-16 fighters from March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County," reported the LA Times.

The pilot was arrested and taken into custody by the Long Beach Police.
