Guadalupe Dunes Road To Open Next Week

GUADALUPE - You'll soon be able to drive out to the beach at Rancho Guadalupe Dunes County Park.

The re-opening of the road to the beach is planned for the morning of Wednesday, February 22nd.

The roadway collapsed nearly a year ago when the Santa Maria River flooded after heavy storms.

Since then, you could only get to the beach by walking nearly a mile across the sand.

Construction on the road was finished much earlier than the expected date of March 1st.
