Lane Closures Planned On Santa Maria River Bridge

SANTA MARIA - Construction to widen the Highway 101 Santa Maria River bridge is causing a few overnight lane closures next week.

One lane will be closed in each direction starting on Tuesday, from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM for restriping and the installation of a short-term concrete railing.

The project will widen the bridge from two to three lanes in each direction.

It's scheduled to be finished by spring of 2014.
