Whitney Houston Remembered During Funeral

NEWARK, New Jersey - Whitney Houston was remembered this morning in the church where her gift for singing was first nurtured, New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.

The private service was invitation only, but was streamed for the whole world to see online.

Among those invited, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, Beyonce, and R. Kelley. @

Legendary music executive Clive Davis, Stevie Wonder and Actor Kevin Costner all took part in the event.

There are no plans for a public memorial as of right now, but New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has ordered flags in the state to fly at half staff.

Outside the church, police closed the surrounding streets but that didn't stop fans from coming to Newark and paying their respects. @
