KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - NewsJudge: Cockrell Sane At Time Of Killing

SAN LUIS OBISPO - A judge has ruled an Atascadero man, who's accused of killing his wife, was sane at the time of the murder.

According to the judge, Kenneth Cockrell's attorney did not prove that Cockrell was insane, when he allegedly killed his wife with a hammer in 2008.

The attorney had argued Kenneth Cockrell thought he was proving his faithfulness to God by killing his wife.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 27th.
