KCOY Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo - NewsGoleta Apartment Complex Evacuated During Morning Fire

GOLETA, Calif- Santa Barbara County firefighters were called out to an apartment complex fire at Dearborn Place Wednesday morning.

Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the the first floor of a two story, multi-unit apartment complex. Neighboring units had to be evacuated as a precaution.

Firefighters were able to get in the apartment and put out the flames. The living room was gutted and the remaining portion of the apartment sustained heavy heat and smoke damage, said the fire department.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
