Santa Barbara Hotel Tax Revenue Up

Posted: Updated:

SANTA BARBARA - The city of Santa Barbara is reporting a double-digit rise in the Transient Occupancy Tax last month.

That's the money collected when someone stays in a hotel room.

The city brought in more than $774,000.

That's up 11.8% over last January.

The city credits an additional day of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, falling in January.
