French Hospital Celebrates Grand Opening of Womens Health Center

 SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (May 1, 2012) – The community is invited to join us for the Grand Opening of the Women's Health and Imaging Center at French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC). FHMC is a Dignity Health member which also includes Arroyo Grande Community Hospital and Marian Regional Medical Center.

The Grand Opening of the Women's Health and Imaging Center at FHMC will be held May 8th from 5pm–7pm in the lobby of the Pacific Medical Plaza located at 1941 Johnson Avenue (three story building adjacent to the hospital). After a short presentation and champagne toast, guests are invited to tour the newly renovated center and enjoy light refreshments. The center's new design provides enhanced privacy in a spa-like setting. Each patient will receive a luxurious robe to wear, rather than a hospital gown, while waiting for procedures.

The Women's Health and Imaging Center offers the latest technology for Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, diagnostic procedures, post menopausal services and the first comprehensive Osteoporosis Resource Center in San Luis Obispo County.

In honor of the grand opening, and in honor of Mother's Day, anyone who schedules an appointment during the month of May will receive a free pedicure (limit 200) from the Bladerunner Spa and Salon in San Luis Obispo. Pedicure certificates will be issued at time of appointment. Their name will also be entered to win an ultimate Spa Package from the Bladerunner as well.

The renovation of the Women's Health and Imaging Center is made possible through generous community contributions from the French Hospital Medical Center Foundation.
