Vallejo - A woman in Vallejo says.... the Six Flags Discover Theme park is breaking the law.
She claims that the park's whale... needs a companion.
She already has signatures from all around the world on a petition asking for the park to get a second whale.
There are rules that say captive whales should have a friend, but this park's killer whale has been housed alone for about six months.
Petition author Wendy Brunot says, "Working on it is one thing but doing it is another. I mean it is the law so I mean I understand if they have an issue but it's been almost 6 months that Shuke has been alone and in my opinion such a creature needs to be with a companion."
Killer whales are known to be social beings and form tightly knit family groups that they live with their entire lives.
