Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Presents Wine Wars

Posted: Updated:

ARROYO GRANDE, CA – [May 25, 2012] – The Arroyo Grande Community Hospital (AGCH) Foundation is proud to present Wine Wars on June 9-10; a raffle-based fundraising event. AGCH is a Dignity Health member which also includes French Hospital Medical Center and Marian Regional Medical Center.

Participants can take part in several ways. To receive a pair of beautiful Riedel wineglasses, they can visit five of the participating wineries, or purchase 10 raffle tickets. Buying $10 raffle tickets also enters the person to win a selection of wine from any of the participating wineries. These tickets will be sold at the wineries so participants are encouraged to visit as many of the participating wineries as possible.

Not only does purchasing raffle tickets enter any participant in the above contests, but it also enters them into a drawing to win one of seven grand prizes, including an iPad 2, a weekend for two at the Ojai Valley Inn, an 82" HDTV with a Blu Ray/3D DVD player, two VIP Monday Night Football tickets to the San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears game on November 19 and more. The location of these prizes is a secret, so to increase the chance of winning participants must visit as many wineries as possible.

Participating wineries include Ancient Peaks, Claiborne & Churchill, Kynsi Winery, Sextant Wines, Stephen Ross, Talley Vineyards, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery, Kelsey See Canyon, and Phantom Rivers. In addition, Greg Linn and Sinor La Vallee wines will be raffled off at Gather Wine Bar in the Village of Arroyo Grande. More wineries will be announced soon.

Wine Wars is being co-chaired by Mike Sinor of Sinor LaVallee Winery and William Ashley, MD, Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital. Major sponsors of Wine War$ are California Emergency Physicians, the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Auxiliary and the AGCH Medical Executive Committee.

Funds raised from the event will support new Emergency Department technologies at AGCH. For more information or to purchase raffle tickets, please call (805) 994-5421 or visit www.supportarroyogrande.org.
