Man Accidentally Hits the Gas, Car Drives Into Burger King

SANTA MARIA, Calif.- It was literally a drive-thru experience for one man Monday, as his foot accidentally pushed the gas instead of hitting the brakes.

He then drove his car straight through the Burger King on Nicolson Avenue near Main Street in Santa Maria. It happened at about 4:00 Monday afternoon, when witnesses say the elderly man accidentally hit the gas, and couldn't stop.

The fast food joint had to close down after the crash. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
