Debris From Tsunami in Japan Washes Up in Oregon

Agate State Beach, OR - The Japanese consulate has confirmed a piece of large dock that washed ashore in Oregon is debris from the tsunami that hit last March.

The 70-foot dock was found yesterday .

Oregon parks officials said the dock has evidence of marine life from Japan attached, and Japanese writing.

Officials also said the dock had been checked for radiation since the tsunami severely damaged a nuclear power plant in Japan
