SANTA MARIA - Thousands of cyclists are riding from San Francisco to Los Angeles this week to raise awareness about H-I-V and aids.
Today and tomorrow, they are making their way through the Central Coast.
Earlier today cyclists made the more than forty mile ride from Santa Maria to Lompoc.
Their goal is to raise awareness for H-I-V and aids as well as money.
The event is put on by the San Francisco Aids Foundation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. So far, participants have raised more than twelve and a half million dollars for this year's event.
The aids lifecycle ride will leave Lompoc tomorrow and head to Ventura and end in Los Angeles on Saturday.
