Man Arrested For Passing Counterfeit Money

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- A San Luis Obispo man has been arrested after police say he passed counterfeit money at local businesses.

The suspect is 29 year old Brandon Oakley. Detectives searched a home Oakley was staying in the 21 hundred block of Harris and found $1500 of counterfeit bills, counterfeit equipment and drugs.

Police say Oakley has a criminal record, and several outstanding warrants for burglary.

He's booked at the County Jail, with a $40,000 dollar bail.
