Popular Beach at Vandenberg Air Force Base Closed

Vandenberg AFB - A popular beach at Vandenberg Air Force base has closed. Wall Beach is closed until Tuesday, June 26th.

Central Coast News spoke with officials at Vandenberg and they say the closure is because too many people are trespassing.

The restrictions were put in place to guard the federally protected shore birds during nesting season.

Wall Beach is one of the beaches on-base and not open to the public.

The other beaches open to the public are Surf Beach and Minuteman Beach at the Northern end of Vandenberg.
