You May Not Like Him When He's Angry, but The Hulk, Lou Ferrigno, will Patrol SLO County as a Deputy

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif- He may not be the Hulk that your kids recognize from the latest Avengers movie, but if he pulls you over, you can tell them he is the original.  In addition to his superhero duties as The Hulk, Lou Ferrigno, is now a reserve deputy for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department.

Ferrigno was sworn in at a ceremony on Friday. Being a resident of Arroyo Grande for over 25-years, Ferrigno wants to be able to help his community in a way he knows best, fighting crime. "To me its exciting because this is the real deal, its not making a movie, I take it very seriously," said Ferrigno.

Ferrigno is also a reserve deputy for Los Angeles County. According to the its website, "Reserve Deputies are professionally trained and duly sworn law enforcement personnel. In most cases, Reserves are assigned to the same duties as Full-time Deputies. Since Reserve Deputies have the same powers of arrest as Full-time Deputies they are required by law to meet the same hiring, background, medical and psychological standards as Full-time Deputies."
