Manchester, NH (PRWEB) June 16, 2012
Motorcycle accident attorneys, Tenn And Tenn, P.A., a law firm in Manchester, NH will be joining in the celebrations for National Ride to Work Day June 18, when tens of thousands of motorcyclists around the country will rev up their engines and show off their bikes. The national observance, an initiative of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), is meant to help raise awareness of motorcycle safety among both motorcyclists and other drivers on the roads.
Tenn And Tenn, PA, is a criminal defense, family law and personal injury firm that serves clients throughout New Hampshire. The personal injury lawyers, frequently deal with cases involving motorcyclists who were struck and injured by larger vehicles—often because they didn't see them. The firm has seen that motorcyclists are disproportionately affected by the carelessness of other drivers. Since motorcycles are smaller vehicles and not fully enclosed, swiping or running into one can cause severe injuries to the driver and passenger.
“We've worked with hundreds of bikers in the last two decades,” founding partner James J. Tenn, Jr. said. “It's hard to see those kinds of injuries, because so many of them were preventable. If someone had just checked their blind spot before turning, months of pain and surgery could have been avoided.”
Tenn says his firm is particularly passionate about motorcycling because many of their attorneys are bikers themselves. “Our motorcycle injury lawyers are long time riders and are uniquely aware of the perils motorcyclist face," Tenn said. “We'll ride with pride on June 18 and we encourage all other bikers to do the same.”
Ride to Work Day is part of the same initiative as National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, which was May, and part of broader efforts to help car drivers and motorcyclists share the road safely. The NHTSA advises bikers to wear helmets and give plenty of space to larger vehicles. Tenn agrees, but says many motorcycle accidents are caused by inattentiveness from car and truck drivers.
