Supreme Court Issues Decision on Arizona Immigration Law

The U.S. Supreme Court struck down most of what was in Arizona's immigration law, reports the Los Angeles Times.  According to the ruling, while the police can stop people who they suspect as being illegal immigrants, the police cannot keep them in jail on state charges.

"The justices also blocked the part of the law that would have made it a crime for illegal immigrants to carry documents or to seek work," wrote the Los Angeles Times.
