LOMPOC, Calif.- People in Lompoc met Thursday evening to discuss ways they can make their home more energy efficient, without breaking the bank.
EmPower Santa Barbara County held the workshop at the Lompoc Veterans Memorial Building on Locust Avenue.
The Santa Barbara County program showed people who attended ways they can get up to $4,000 in utility rebates for going green.
The group shares some of the most common upgrades people are getting.
"We find a lot of people are interested in energy efficient furnaces, energy efficient windows, and water heater replacement, so those are some of the top as well as installation," says Angie Hacker, emPower SBC.
Dozens of people attended the workshop and the group says they are continuing to travel to different cities on the Central Coast where more workshops will be available to the public.
