Police Find Suspect Responsible For Santa Barbara Standoff

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- Santa Barbara Police have found the woman accused of starting a four hour standoff and then disappearing with her two children.

Police aren't saying where or when they arrested Eunice Sanchez, but the district attorney will determine if any criminal charges should be filed.

On Wednesday, officers said Sanchez's mother called them saying Sanchez was inside the apartment on Milpas Street with a gun and her two children.

Police said she somehow got away during the standoff. The mother said Sanchez is mentally ill.
