Woman Sexually Assaulted in San Luis Obispo, Suspect Still on the Loose

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif- A woman was sexually assaulted in the area of 1400 block of Marsh Street Tuesday night as she was walking through the business complex. Police say the suspect grabbed the victim around her throat and dragged her to the train tracks.

The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and then demanded her cell phone, said police. After he had the phone, the suspect ran away.

The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 20's, average build, 5'7'', brown hair, and blue eyes.

The assault is currently under investigating; anyone with information is encouraged to call the San Luis Obispo Police Department at 781-7312 or Crime Stoppers at 549-7867.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department also wants to ensure citizens are aware of the assault and encourage them to be safe when walking alone. If possible, you should walk with a friend, and use paths that have good lighting and areas with a high amount of traffic.
