San Luis Obispo -- Police are looking for a man who attacked a young woman in broad daylight.
The sexual assault happened Tuesday afternoon near several businesses a few blocks from downtown.
Officers say the girl in her late teens was grabbed from behind as she was walking into a business complex on Marsh Street
Police got the call about four Tuesday afternoon from the young woman who says she was attacked near the railroad tracks.
Captain Chris Staley with the San Luis Obispo Police Department says the girl was approached from behind, the man grabbed her around her neck and dragged her to an area near the railroad track where she was assaulted and then he took her cell phone and ran away.
Officers were unable to find the attacker. He is described as being in his twenties, about 5'-7" with an average build, brown hair and blues eyes.
Police advise you not to walk alone and to always be aware of your surroundings.
