SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif- Hundreds of dogs gathered with their "parents" Sunday in San Luis Obispo for the fifth annual "Golden's in the Park."
Lenny Jones, who started the event five years ago, says he always wondered how many golden retrievers he could get together at one place at one time, sparking the idea of a "day in the park."
Now this fun day for golden retrievers is to help other furry friends. "I fund the entire event myself, so all the money that we raise here today does not go to putting on the event, all the money that is raised goes to Woods Humane Society and ASAP, which is animal shelter adoption partner," says Lenny Jones, the Coordinator.
Jones says they are hoping to raise at least 4-thousand dollars.
