Turkey Fire 100% Contained

PARKFIELD, Calif- CalFire crews say a 2700 acre brush fire is now 100% contained.  The fire started is in the area of Turkey Flats and Cholame Road which is about an hour and a half East of King City and 90 minutes west of Paso Robles. CalFire is calling this fire the Turkey Fire.

The Turkey Fire started at 11:25 Monday afternoon and as of Tuesday afternoon it was 90%contained. For now the fire is burning cattle land on a ranch in the area and no homes are threatened, said Calfire.

Over 357 fire personnel have responded to help contain the flames, with the help of fire engines, air tankers, and helicopters.
