WATCH: Driver Flies Down Embankment During Los Angeles Car Chase

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif- Los Angeles Police say a suspect who was wanted for a lewd act with a minor, was stopped in Lakewood by Bell police Tuesday. According the the California Highway Patrol the suspect told officers he wanted to kill himself and took off.

The chase stopped briefly in Torrance when an officer successfully performed the PIT maneuver on the suspect's truck. The truck was spun around and forced into the side of a big rig with such force, it shook the big rig's trailer.

The pickup truck's cab was wedged into the big rig's trailer for a moment before the suspect pulled back out and continued to flee from pursuing officers.

The chase ended a short time later when the suspect's truck went airborne and hit a building.
