Trial Delayed For Local Firefighter Charged With Assault

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- The trial for a local firefighter charged with assault has been delayed until September.

John Ryan Mason is accused of beating up a man in a bathroom at a San Luis Obispo bar last June. The victim was knocked unconscious and suffered multiple fractures to his face.

The trial was scheduled to begin Monday but now has been delayed until September 5th.

Mason is a San Luis Obispo City firefighter.
